Your current spec:
A brief motivation about your current spec:
http://www.wowhead.com/talent#ccZfMZcbh … :zsRfk0zcM
Talents, Glyphs:
Survival 3/7/31
I chose this spec, because I enjoy playing Survival more than Marksmen, I feel it gives me more
utility and easy of movement rather than Mms, My standard spec is the spec you will find all
Survival Hunters playing if they know about their class, since the Careful Aim nerf and the pet
focus bug fix, I've found speccing into Sic'em better, this allows me to spec into Wild Hunt on my
pet. There is some flexibility with speccing 2/3 Sniper Training + 2/2 Serpent Spread with 3/3
Sniper Training + 1/2 Serpent Spread, I have found that if I need to AoE I will be using Multi Shot
more often than every 6 seconds so using the 1st option is pointless, getting the extra 5% crit on
Kill Shot and 2% damage on Cobra Shot is more beneficial.

Glyphs:
Glyph of Explosive Shot- Usually my main damage dealer, This increases the crit chance by 6%
Glyph of Arcane Shot – Since SV hunters use AS in their rotation a lot more now due to Tier 12
4-set and no the Tier 13 2-set, this is now a very viable Glyph, but I believe I would swap back to
Serpent Sting on a fight such as Yor'sahj HC for the heavy AoE needed.
Glyph of Kill Shot- Allows me to do double Kill Shots every 10 seconds.

Glyph of Raptor Strike- is a very good glyph when used correctly. When used it give me a 20%
reduced damage taken for 5 seconds. On sinestra this was a very good on the flame breaths.
The other 5 glyphs are mix and match, I have picked the 5 I find most useful.
I used Glyph of Master's call with allows me 8 seconds of a immunity to slows etc, I found that
this worked well on fights like Al'Akir HC, it allowed me to stand in the frost patches and be
immune to the slow and the damage in it for 8 seconds. So it gave me a good freedom of movement.

Gear/glyphs/enchants/gems comments:
After getting the Hit Cap8%> Agility>758 Haste>Crit>Mastery>Haste.
I need 758 haste, this allows me to get a 1.67 sec cast on Cobra Shot, this enables me to cast
Cobra Shot 3 times perfectly between each Explosive Shot.

I gem 40 Agility unless there is a socket bonus of 20 Agility or more. Other wise 20 Agility + 20
Hit for Blue and 20 Agility and 20 Crit for Yellow.

I aim for as much crit as possible so all excess haste and mastery (after achieving hit cap) is
reforged into Crit.
Crit is my main stat because 1% extra crit increase my damage by 1%.

I use the best enchants available on all pieces of gear each maximizing the DPS gained.

Are you willing to respec if required: Yes, I am I have played BM a MM in the past on certain fights.

What are your 5 most used spells in raids, and why:

Explosive Shot - Main damage dealing ability

Kill Shot - Powerful shot to help kill the boss when it's below 20%.

From a Hunter PoV, my role is to MD certain mobs to tanks, to slow or daze, single or multiple targets whilst trying to max dps on targets.

In-game Info / History
I started playing wow in vanilla on my warrior I was a very casual player in this time. I joined various guild and done some raids, but I mainly done battlegrounds. I didn't take the game as seriously as I do now. In Tbc I played on my Priest I played as Holy during raids, however I started raiding late in tbc. It was when BT just came out and I started raiding full time from then.
In Wotlk I changed to a Deathknight tank and because the guild had a lack of tanks. I didn't really enjoy this so I went back to healing in Ulduar as a Resto Shaman. I took a break when ToC came out, I came back in patch 3.3 with full focus on raiding, I joined a new guild Sacrifice on the Horde side I faction changed my warrior(same warrior from Vanilla) It had been my main alt during tbc and the start of wotlk. I got promoted to melee officer within a month of Sacrifice being formed and we done really well in icc only missing the light of dawn, I managed to get Shadowmourne and I managed to get 20 rating away from gladiator in 3v3(boosted much?) At the end of Wotlk we decided to leave Agamaggan because it was completely dead.

We moved to Stormreaver and we recruited for Cataclysm, we started off well, but we had a set back when we lost a lot of players in the first month of cata, in March I decided I would change to a Hunter which was a decision welcomed by Ludis we never managed to find a good Hunter and I didn't like the changes to warrior, we managed to stack progressing heavilly we went from 12/12 normal to 6/13hc quite quickly getting 1 or 2 new bosses down week. then all progress stopped, we again lost people, our GM Ludis got in contact with Minority an 8/13hc guild who had the same problems as us. We merged and we done well got Nefarian and Cho'gall within 3 weeks and we got the rest in 10man.

We started Firelands progression and we progressed slowley, we ended up making our old Sacrifice guild again and this was even worse, I took a break, joined back up with my guildies on Ravencrest. That's where I am now.

Playing times: Noon- till late 7days a week

What other Guild(s) have you been in:
Reason for leaving previous Guild(s):
Ravencrest: Still with this guild, I respect my guild leaders, but the quality of
players that they keep as a raider is just silly, I understand recruitment is an issue sometimes
but I would rather drop to 10man.

Sacrifice - Stormreaver/Agamaggan: Disbanded due to inactive people and recruitment problems

Amicitia - Agamaggan: Disbanded

Tasteful Pain - Agamaggan: Guild transferred to Bronzebeard, I didn't follow.

Dragons - Quel'thalas: At release of Wotlk I Transferred to play with IRL friends on Agamaggan

Misc

Do you know any AI member in real life: No

Is there an AI member who can vouch for you and who is that: I played with Melbigson in Amicitia in naxx/ulduar

Why did you apply to AI in particular: Because I know Melbigson.

Did you apply to other guilds as well: Balance on Grim Batol, 5 days no reply

What do you expect from AI: To be given a chance to show you that I can be a valued raider in your guild, and I expect the chance to see the hardest encounters out there.

Have you read the Guild Charter and Policy, and do you agree: I do

Do you D/C problems during raids (yes / no / sometimes): Very rarely

Do you use ventrilo and have a working microphone: Yes I do and I can be very vocal if required.

Make or break

Why should we pick you?: I know I haven't played my Hunter for long, but I hope you agree that means you can still play well.  I haven't missed a raid since the beginning of Febuary and before that I honestly can't remember. So you will gain a very active player, who can make all of your raids.
I want to be at the forefront of progress, I want to be progressing on content which is extremely hard. I believe I have the patience and the desire to achieve this.
I am not a player that is not prepared for a raid in anyway, I always check boss tactics and go on the PTR if possible.

Is there anything you would like to add?:

I would like to add some descriptions of boss encounters and how I deal with them.

Shannox Heroic.

As ranged officer in my guild I nominated myself to Daze Riplimb during the fight so I put Riplimb on Focus. I start off by MDing Riplimb to the off tank and I start dpsing the boss. During the fight when Shannox Throws his spear, It's essential to keep this spear away from the boss for as long as possible to make sure the MT resets stacks, So I use my focus Concussive Shot macro when Riplimb is running to fetch the spear and again when he is running to the boss with it, If possible I daze him again when he runs back to the OT.
During the fight there is traps, so I move asap away from them, but I stand near the Crystal Traps this for Rageface, if he decides to fixate on me I can try my best to trap him in it.
The fight is rinse and repeat for me making sure I max dps on Shannox, keep Riplimb dazed when needed and moving out of trap and fire.

Also Cho'gall HC.

I put Cho'gall on focus.
Start off by pre-potting and MDing to the tank, then stacking on the boss's behind, when mindcontrol happens I scatter shot or Wyvern sting if really needed (wasting a healer's dispell not ideal), I assign myself to dps both elementals, whilst using focus cobra shot to keep serpent sting up on boss. And I move accordingly to fire spawns.

In (Phase 2) I wait for the MC to happen before moving to my spot on the side, I then MD an Adhereant to the tank, I keep up serpent sting on both Adherants and keep both them up, when Ele's spawn this is my main prio I dps these down, all the while I'm still focus cobra shotting Cho'gall, my aim in this phase is to keep 4 SS running and to stand out of Shadow Crash and release players from MC. Once both Adherants are dead I get back to the boss asap place frost and explosive trap down, I AoE them down, and I call for Boomkin knockbacks.

Phase 3- Killing Darkened Creations is main pritority I save focus for this so I can burst, If I get sickness I puke away from players and I move from big tenticles, whilst trying to kill the boss.
My role within the raid:
As ranged officer, I decide what ranged dps is doing each task on each boss, I always assign myself to do what I see the most important tasks if I can, to do this I require 100% knowledge of every boss encounter so I can assign and talk through accordingly.

Thanks in advance for any replies.
